Actually, the whole "superpredator" controversy and ensuing reappraisal of the Clinton Crime Bill arose because a BLM leader confronted Hillary about her comments at a private fundraiser and was condescendingly dismissed. The incident was recorded and replayed widely on progressive media outlets. The exchange helped swing support among young black voters to Bernie.

Somehow a bunch of people got caught up in the outlandish conspiracy that since the end of the Civil War the American justice system has soley existed to reenslave blacks.

My issue is not with them working, but with the Clintons using them as next to nothing paid labor at their mansion. I'm all for giving inmates a glimpse of a productive life, and further developing life skills while in prison. Just not the way the Clintons were doing it.

No you are right, but they ended that in the 90s or early 00s in those states. It was actually completely phased out in the 50s, and then brought back briefly by a few states in the 90s.
