Going to and from Denver, even if no weed involved, use US-34 from 15 miles south of Grand Island, NE.
No extra miles traveled and it's a really cool way to go. I do this trip every summer going west to camp in the forests.
For those in Rio Linda, this means take interstate 80 from Chicago to Grand Island and go south to US-34. Then straight west on 34 to Fort Morgan (buy weed at Log Lane Village which is one mile west of Fort Morgan). Then you connect to I-76 west toward Denvah.

This. Driving any quantity of Schedule 1 substances on our nation's highway system is asking to spend a weekend in some local lock up, and then have to hire a lawyer, post a larger than usual bond (cuz you're out of state) and then travel back to that podunk town for various hearings/trial/etc.
