Just installed the new filter and took the top off of the outside unit, rinsed the coils out from inside with a hose. Put it all back together and flipped the thermostat over to cool- not hot enough in here yet to make it come on in auto, had to set it down to 72 for the test.

I need to watch for condensate removal, some time spiders nest in the pipe and flood the furnace.

Might as well turn off the furnace humidifier supply while I'm down there, and stop the fireplace pilot, too...

Darko- anything else we should do to lighten your workload (figuratively, of course- I'm outside your service area)

Sometimes. Not today. I knew this would be a long hot difficult weekend and I'm not disappointed. I was more pissed Monday when idiot customers refuse to reschedule maintenance while it's raining hard outside. One customer was all mad her paperwork was wet. I said yeah I'm soaked too its pouring rain out there. I could do without people saying gee it must suck having to work in the rain" when I'm thinking hey douchebag you demanded your service in the rain instead of waiting a few hours.
