Kind of weird. I think he just liked the idea of getting something from a vendor.

So you dress like a Wrigley hot dog vendor when at home? That is a little weird....

Why no meat? Was it a statement or he just stopped eating it?

Hell, if my parents were cooking whole hogs & cutting off their heads with a cleaver then sitting them on the dinner table, I'd be wary of eating meat as well.

 As a good parent, I take no responsibility.

He has Autism and was a very picky eater. He would only eat chips or french fries. It was a concern, obviously. We tried to force feed him some meat but that didn't go well.

Every once in a while, he'd be good with McNuggets. He'd have crushed that competition.

Lately, he's been into bacon Eggo sandwiches and ham with white american cheese for lunch. And now hot dogs. It's very encouraging.

Plus, despite all that, he's quite healthy and looks likely to be a massive human. He's 12 and already outpacing his older brother (14) and his brother is already over 6' tall.

I'm so proud. And happy that those kids have good parent(s)

During Tiger's pregame over the weekend, they interviewed the coach of the Little League team from Grosse Point, MI that made the LL World Series. The coach was quite clear that they were proud of their success, but even more so that the goal of the team was to give the players the skills for all the kids to make their high school baseball teams. No talk of future Major Leaguers or returning to PA, or dynasties, just take the next step and keep playing baseball. Sounds like there are some folks that get it right, like with your son's team.

I went through a period where I would refuse to eat meat as well, was younger than your son, probably 4-6 years old. I remember being anemic and having to take iron pills to counteract the symptoms. Right, kid on a beef cattle farm does not eat meat... Sure is best when the kid makes the change for themselves. Glad to hear your son is coming around, even if a Wrigley hot dog would not be considered meat by some folks.

Now, I can't imagine a day without some meat in my mouth. Wait, what?

On the flipside, my boy won't regularly eat anything other than cheeseburgers for dinner.

They just completed tearing out and putting in two brand new private bathrooms in my department. In a building with 500
employees I bet there are maybe 50 tops that are even aware that these bathrooms even exist. No need to relieve myself
with the serfs! I feel like George Costanza at Play Now. :alien:

I am going through this phase. It was hot dogs, cheeseburgers, fish sandwiches, back to hot dogs.

We are visiting my mom and dad this weekend and I found my old Sega Genesis! I'm teaching my daughter Mortal Kombat. Even remembered the blood code on the first try.

chicken fingers and nothing else. Sometimes a burger or a hot dog. He just won't eat otherwise...

Not a brag, but I love chilling with my daughter without a neurotic woman around (my wife). I get to teach her that spilling a bit of yogurt isn't a crisis and that you can eat in bed without being chewed out and that life isn't something to get too worked up about, in general. This will either pay off in the form of a well-adjusted person or she will end up a burnout with no motivation because of me.

I'm willing to take my chances.

I turned right on a red light where there is clearly a sign that says "No Turn on Red." It was right in front of a police officer. No ticket.

My two year old daughter and I fought for 20 minutes about a Lego guy not sitting down on a toy motorcycle. I gave up.
