Tonite: 9holes at Zigfield Troy after work. C'mon out if you're gonna be in the area and want to do a quick round of Par 3's

Tomorrow: Up to Kenilworth (watch out Dr. Ken) for my cousin's baseball game, dinner with the lady, then to the Hilton to catch my Dad's band for a bit. Bobby McGee's afterwards is questionable

Sunday: not much in the AM, then to a friends house for a BBQ/drink fest at night

Monday: golfing in the afternoon with some friends, BBQ at night

Tuesday: golfing with the old man in the morning. Took a vacation day to get a long weekend in. Huzzah!

I've probably got some laundry, "Svengoolie", MLB Extra Innings on my DIRECTV HD, auto racing and maybe watching a DVD on the long holiday weekend radar...

Stay far far away from this beer. It is putrid. I had it at Barley House a few weeks ago and it tasted like burnt tires and someone crapped in the keg. I couldn't get past the first sip.

The rest sounds good though - I am very jealous!

That would be a show to see...

I haven't, but for 5 bucks at Nellies, it's worth it. It's the Loop Monsters of Mock special for May.

I'll be keen to hear how they are...

I'm sure Darkside will have more to add, but they were outstanding. The lead guitarist was badass, and hit all the riffs and solos. The two main vocalists sounded really close to Roger Waters and David Gilmore (the Gilmore parts flipped between a couple of different people, but the guy on keyboards did most of these parts...he was lacking a little of Gilmore's force early, but he hit his stride in the second set). There was a multi-instrumentalist, who flipped between guitar and sax with a couple of other instruments thrown in there, let's just say his sax playing was mind blowing.

yeah, I did put a review in the Plugs section in your thread about the show.
They were really, very, awesomely good. Best $5 I ever spent.

This weekend...

Tonight, going to see a friend's band play. Debut of his new band called Legs Akimbo @ The Bird's Nest.

Saturday, three freakin' graduation parties. (yeesh)

Sunday, gettin' the trailer ready for next week's trip to Tulsa, OK, then a pool opening party at my buddy's house.

Beer will be involved...
