OK, your job sucks, your wife is a starfish pain in the ass, kids are assholes and it's fucking too cold out.

Pound liquor until worries disappear like a normal person rather than raving like a lunatic online about a teenage girl

Are people raving? I think most don’t care. You seem to care a lot about stuff. Try my philosophy. If trump leaves office react. Otherwise everything else is circuses.

I think your boyfriend BadRogue had a stroke today.

Awwww look . Someone figured their way around the parental block and is posting after 7 on a school night . Better be careful you don’t get caught . Santa is watching .

Apologies, I was wrong. The stroke is happening right now.

I don't think so but I can safely say they've hit rock bottom. The good news is they can't go any lower. They are officially no better than Buzzfeed. If you want to mock me for lamenting that, so be it.

That's what I'm most worried about. I'm not even worried about animals really... Im not sure we need them... But we absolutely need diverse plants and insects, and animals play a part in those ecosystems.

Animals and sea life are extremely important to every ecosystem.

A kid in a boat being named person of the year signals Time's rock bottom as a journalistic enterprise. I guess you'll have to read Redbook next time you're at the doctor's office...

I wonder what Nardi’s thoughts are on the kid from Florida who gives speeches on the negative impact guns have.

Give me a reasoned argument on why he should be The person of the year. Of the entire world. From what I remember, he did a lot of bloviating and belittling, kinda what you and Spiral do.

Why do you care about what a ranting lunatic on a message board has to say about what a kid in Florida has to say about the negative impact of guns ??

It goes both ways. A lot of folks recognize climate change is real, but when you have idiots like AOC saying in 10 years we're fucked, it sort of leads to eye rolls and stagnated discussion, because every rational person knows thats bullshit sensationalism.

Yeah because the truth is we are already doomed and there's nothing to do now but sit back and wait for the apocalypse.

Exactly, the oversell is the problem. Sane people are so turned off by the alarmism that they start to ignore it.

If we just got to rational solutions that don’t destroy the economy, you’d start to find consensus. But when you rule out solutions like nuclear power (waste) and wind/offshore power (animals), then it all breaks down. Electric cars do us no good if coal plants are generating the power.

The scientists told us decades ago that XYZ level of CO2 (400 ppm for instance) in the atmosphere would lead to much higher levels of warming than what in fact has occurred. Their models are not accurate by any reasonable measure, so there is a lot of doubt on their current claims.

It would have been much easier to go softer after some general sense that nearly everyone would agrre on at some level. "It will not hurt in any way to be cleaner for our world and it might just do some good". Then again using some idea like that can't control people, enrich politicians, build global controlling, implement social outcomes etc etc.

Insulting people isn’t a prerequisite. Pissing off half the people on the political spectrum is though, because that will keep people talking about it. It worked.

I mean, we wouldn't even be talking about global warming if she hadn't started the discussion. Good for Greta.

I hope you guys get this mad about the witty anecdotes in Reader's Digest's latest "Life in These United States." I'll park on a parkway and drive on a driveway just to show those know-it-alls who's boss.
