That was a gang violation. They left him for dead and then propped him up against the car like road kill.

He technically resisted arrest by not easily allowing the cops to handcuff him, but he didn't actually fight any of them.

One of the paramedics was white. Commence the riots.

They repeatedly pepper sprayed him but couldn't figure out why he was using his hands to wipe his eyes and protect his face. They beat him like he owed them money AFTER he was handcuffed.

Supposedly these guys were part the “SCORPION Unit” which sounds like the name of a unit that would just kill a guy for no reason.

It was a street gang. There was never a moment any of them was in danger when they weren't pepper spraying each other. He never fought back and he was never belligerent.
