If he was following Tiger this morning, he should have added a hard hat to that ensemble.

Dude is turning into Louis Gossett jr. in his old age. Iron Eagle 7 is going to kick ass staring MJ.

So the guy Tiger hit was unconscious and had to go to the hospital?

Have we heard from Northside Dan lately?

I still find it funny that every time a wayward shot lands in the gallery, people flock over to see it like its some sort of crazy item that dropped out of space.

US up 5-3 after day 1.

Woods/Stricker lose both their matches. Although Colsaerts was insane in the afternoon.

Great start for the Americans in Day 1. On Saturday, Euros need to do the exact opposite of what they did today if they have any chance.

Well that was something. Got there around 9:30, parked in that forest preserve Ugie used which worked out great. Shuttles leaving every couple minutes and it was a 10 minute drive.

As predicted, the place was a madhouse. We got there and headed to 13 where we found a spot on the tee side of the lake so we could see across the lake to the green. Couldn't see the tee shots at all. then we moved to 15 where we kinda saw Dufner and Westwood tee off. Then to the green where we sorta saw Zack chip on. Then we moved to a spot where we were behind the tee boxes on 16 where we definitely saw the two teams tee off. Then we moved to 17 to await the group and it ended on 16.

Then we went to the pro shop, bought $150 worth of stuff, then had lunch and then at that point my back was starting to hurt from the walking and we decided to just go home and watch it on tv. So basically we saw 4-5 shots all day.

Highlight of the day: as we were walking out we noticed a par 3 set up where you could take a shot from 150 yards and if you got a hole in one you got a Mercedes. With a gallary of about 50 I launched a perfect 6 iron which faded right over the stick and landed about 8 feet behind it. The crowd went nuts cause it looked like it really had a shot. I've been using graphite shafts for about a decade because of my back, but after swinging that 6 iron I'm starting to question that decision and thinking about giving normal clubs a try.

All in all, I would say its cool to go the RC just to say you were there and to see the spectacle, but if you really want to see what's happening i can't think of a worst sporting event in the entire world that is worse. If I go Sunday (might skip it and just watch it at home) I'm going to go to the tent where they rent out little tvs that look like tablets. Go find a spot a few holes out and camp out and watch on tv until they get there and then go it again at a later hole. Trying to follow the action or go from hole to hole was pointless unless you enjoy just staring at the back of heads.

I don't see how Davis Love can sit Phil and Keegan this afternoon, but they need a rest.
