He has also challenged several board members to fights. I'm just trying to figure out exactly where the holes in the story are.

Yeah, the stories are a bit confusing.

I'm saying that we don't live in a virtuous society.

And the guy or girl on top is not always setting the tone. And in a society where it's in vogue to mistakenly claim that 1% have 99% of the wealth, then I am missing where the middle class is not calling out the rich folks. It's going on right now in this thread.

There aren't really any women on top. The women that are on top are there simply by virtue of their connections to men. Sure, you could cite some noveau CEO of a tech firm, but these aren't really the people calling the shots for America.

As far as the middle class calling out the wealthy is concerned, it's not something that generally occurs and I would submit the fact that it is happening here to some small degree is nothing more than a tribute to the intellectual standards of CSFMB.

No, not really. It is obvious that you care what I think, you keep responding. It's also obvious that your goal now is to antagonize Chas and that's fine, you're a troll, not a general troll but a Chas Troll. Or Chas is the troll and he's driven you to the brink, therefore he has won. Or maybe he isn't even a real person and you've been had.

It isn't a ridiculous analogy, what is out of this world is your inability to understand my simple point. Your hate for Chas and his condition is blinding you. Have fun on your crusade, a crusade that is turning out to be as successful as the Children's Crusade.

Just some facts on the 1% as of 2011

#1) The Top 1% Owns 40% of the Nation's Wealth:
Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz points out the richest 1% of Americans now own 40% of the nation's wealth. This disparity is much worse than it was in the past, as just 25 years ago the top 1% owned 33% of national wealth.
How much does the bottom 80% own? Only 7%.
#2) The Top 1% Take Home 24% of National Income:
While the richest 1% of Americans take home almost a quarter of national income today, in 1976 they took home just 9% -- meaning their share of the national income pool has nearly tripled in roughly three decades.
#3) The Top 1% Own Half of the Country's Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds: The Institute for Policy Studies illustrates this massive disparity in financial investment ownership, noting that the bottom 50% of Americans own only 0.5% of these investments.
#4) The Top 1% of Americans Have Only 5% of the Nation's Personal Debt:
Using 2007 figures, sociologist William Domhoff points out that the top 1% have 5% of the nation's personal debt while the bottom 90% have 73% of total debt.
#5) The Top 1% Are Taking In More off the Nation's Income Than at Any Other Time Since the 1920s: Not only are the wealthiest 1% of Americans taking home a tremendous portion of the national income, but their share of this income is greater than at any other time since the Great Depression, as the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities illustrates in this chart, using 2007 data.

Women on top are there for the same reasons men are. As we see more female CEO's, I trust that the number will continue to increase.

And I disagree about the calling out issue. As silly as some of it was, the entire Occupy movement was about calling out wealthy power in our society.

And people who think that money creates happiness, have never had it or known on a depp level anyone that had FU money.

Some visual charts:

This is a direct result of things that were brewing in Fed policy and tax policy over the last 20 years and have now been put into warp 20 since the beginning of this current administration.

I agree. Some of the richest people I know are miserable, but I dont think the ones complaining want to be super rich, they just want the oppurtunites for success to be a little more spread out.

Just looked it up on Amazon, very interesting and right up my alley.

Coming Apart is an excellent book on why the top 1% have accrued so much wealth. It originated around 1960 and is very interesting because of its use of easy to understand stats. In any case, there is tremendous value in being extremely smart or talented. Elite pro athletes are a perfect example. These players generate tremendous revenues for their leagues and sponsors. Creative types that come up with the next big Internet idea get wealthy, Groupon, Twitter, Facebook, etc, etc. Guys that can run a hedge fund and come up with trading algorithms, Fortune 500 executives, etc, etc. Great investors like Buffet. They make other people so much money, that they in turn are paid well.

Are you capabl of being CEO of say Google or Amazon? Or pick any company that is a Fortune 500.
Are you sure that you would ever want to be one?

There are a small amount of companies in my field that I think I could do a far better job of overseeing on a day to basis. I have known one of their CEO's for 30 years and I am happy for his succcess. He started out driving a truck for a living. And I am stunned to this day that he has become a CEO twice.

Having said that, I would rather eat dirt than take the helm of any of them. The hours, the time away from family and the answering to shareholders would leave me desiring a colonoscopy 24/7 instead.

I consider myself very successful at what I do, and money has nothing to do with it. I used to think it did but now I know better.

Of course, I troll Chas. Stevie Wonder can see that. I guess you are the only one who is unsure as to whom is doing the trolling. It certainly isn't the guy who goes crying to the moderator for protection.

Why are you his white knight? He has an IQ in the 120's. He should be able to handle himself, especially against someone like me who can't understand your brilliance, right?

I understood what you said, it just didn't make much sense. Somebody who is suffering from terminal cancer is not the same thing as somebody who is on "Disability, baby!". Nobody knows exactly what his condition is. He won't answer the questions asked by myself, Seacrest, Darkside, and others. If it is that cut and dry, then it shouldn't be that difficult to explain. It was pretty easy for me to explain the reasons why my mother-in-law needs disability. Her case should be an absolute slam dunk, but we have to jump through hoops every year. So, I will not apologize for hammering somebody who I feel is cheating the system.

Your crusade is defending his great honor, from my vicious, and unwarranted attacks. Good luck with that.

Right, Forrest Gump said it best when he and Dan struck it rich on Apple stock "That's good. That's one less thing to worry about"

If money and the issues it causes werent around, the pursuit of happiness becomes easier.

The crazy thing is that for someone like me, about 50K would totally change my life. That isnt a crazy amount of money but so many little bullshit problems would go away. Warren Buffet loses/gains 50K in the time it takes him to brush his teeth in the morning.

Settle down, you're beginning to repeat yourself.

I get it, you see an easy target in a doped up guy on the internet on depression meds and you want to hammer him into to nothingness and hold up his severed head to the roar of the crowd. You're doing gods work here, Chus.

Continue to press Chas for the answers you seek.

A quote or two for your consideration.

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.

The CEO I mentioned used to drive a truck in Chicago. There are many more like him I'm sure. No one is denying you the same opportunities he grew up with.

First, I'm not smart enough to understand you. Now, I'm foaming at the mouth, and rambling. Well done, sir. You showed me.

You forgot my desire to drag his bloodied, lifeless body through the streets. With a spin like this, you should be working for Fox News.

This didn't just start with his humble brag that he cheats the system, this has been going on for years. Surely, somebody who follows my posts as closely as you do, would know that.

I'm not doing "God's" work. If you are going to insult the intelligence of others, then you should use capital letters and apostrophes when necessary.

Im not talking about me. I consider myself advantaged having grown up in middle class with a private school education.

I dunno, Chus, you're expending a lot of energy in your quest to decimate Chas, he is but a man that is enduring tough times, that must pop pills and posting on this site may be his only contact with other people.

And the fact that you admitted to wanting to kill him and drag is corpse through the streets points to something deeper going on...something within you. I don't really follow your posts all that closely, just the ones dealing with your war on Chas which happen to be more numerous than KS's gay sex posts.

If you get the truth from Chas.....will that enough to satiate you? Or will you simply find the next pound of flesh to cut out? How much is enough? How far are you willing to go?

That and I've actually met a board member once, so has Panther. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to deduce that we are two different people.

There are many forms of poverty besides financial.

And no one is denying them the same humble beginnings that he came from.
