The other one is gone. I did something kind of cool. I noticed a bird egg laying on my lawn out of no where. It wasn't cracked. Must have been recently dropped by a predator cuz I past the spot earlier and didn't see it. Anyway, being the sharp thinker I am, I had also noticed a couple of birds making a nest else where. There were no eggs in that nest yet. She's not yet ready to deliver. So, I picked up the egg and put it in that nest. What do you know? The bird is sitting on it. Waiting to lay it's own eggs, while taking care of this orphan egg. This bird is a pigeon. She is gonna have a shocked look on her face when a Robin, Cardinal or some other bird species comes out of that egg. I SAVED A BIRD LIFE. Anyway, I'm drunk. |

There are birds like the cow bird, those brown birds that make a sound like a faucet dripping..they lay an egg in other birds nests to trick the bird into raising their offspring.. The egg was probably intentionally tossed out of the nest. And I can guarantee its a dove not a pigeon, unless you live under a viaduct. |

My neighbors behind us have had a bird's nest on a gutter downspout under the eave for several years now. The birds have babies in the spring, and then again in the summer. The babies recently hatched. This morning, I opened up the blinds to see a huge bird flying up to the nest, snatching the babies, and flying off. |

It was early, and I had not had any coffee yet. |

Yeah. You're right. It's a dove. I always call them pigeons cuz they look like smaller pigeons. I think they're related. Anyway, just checked on it. She laid her own eggs now. 2 of them. Hers are white. The one I put in is light blue with white dots. |

I mean how is it possible for somebody to find an abandoned bird egg and put it in another nest. That just defies logic. No way it could happen. I feel embarrassed that I thought I could get away with such a story. Of course, I only told the story because I thought you people would think higher or something. ![]() Man, you people are weird. Sometimes I think you just want to fight with me over everything. Cuz this was just a simple story about something simple that I did. Why would anybody even bother to lie about something like this? |

When you make your drunken election night rant, what will be your drink of choice? Myself, I haven't had a drink in nearly a month. Thought I'd break the streak with a nice Italian red this evening, in honor of His Holiness, The Pope, who is Catholic, and see what kind of craziness breaks out this evening. Maybe I should have an Argentinian red. |

I will be visiting my grandmother's grave tomorrow with good news or digging a hole next to her. |
