One week on the wagon. I pace around the house all night not knowing what do with myself. I gotta admit, I preferred laying comatose on the couch. are there any advantages that I'm missing? |

Been dry going on 16 years now, Hatch. There are days when I am tempted - not gonna lie - but it just doesn't work for me. Period. I'm not an alcoholic, just somebody who's life is better off without the influence and its pitfalls. I am a better husband, father, coworker, friend and man as a result. A&W Root Beer is terrific, by the way... |

Well I never started drinking so I can't really say what to do when you stop, but I pound the energy drinks pretty hard especially Monster. Videogames do a great job keeping my mind off of anything I don't want my mind on. It's also cool how much cheaper drinking anything other than booze is. |

I was thinking, this is sort of what it was like in high school...soda pop and baseball games. though my life is 1,000,000 times more stressful now. Now evey day feels like ACT test day back then. |

There will come a point in time where I'll be old enough with god-knows what where I'll have to quit drinking. Until then it's too awesome to give up. |

Told the wife..honey, you better start buying A LOT more ice cream as long as I'm not drinking. Saturday I found myself knuckles deep in ice cream. What a horrible habit. As for the "advantages", I know I feel better in the mornings after booze free nights. What's weird is that after cutting way back, now I feel the effect of just one or two drinks the night before. |

Jerry: Oh, wait a second, I believe we have a heckler ladies and gentlemen. Hey Dick I don't know what your problem is. It's not my fault you're back on the wagon. Dick: It's off the wagon. Jerry: In the old days how do you think they got the alcohol from town to town? Dick: I don't know. Jerry: On the wagon. Don't you think they broke into a couple of those bottles along the way? Dick: You can't drink on a wagon it would be too bumpy. Jerry: They had smooth trails. What about the Cumberland Gap? Dick: What the hell do you know about wagons? Jerry: I know enough not to get on them. |

Start smoking pot, Hatchet. You're never too old for a new vice. Just ask leash. |

Substitute for booze? Two simple words... Grim masturbation. |
