It's just a news aggregator, but it has become outrageous. It put the Trump campaign in the Entertainment Section for awhile, yet the editors cannot stop putting him as the main headline.

Then there are the steady stream of whiny non-news items such as the movement to turn Capt. America gay: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/mar ... cc9a71e791

Or why Me Before You is "deeply troubling" : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kim-saude ... 08260.html

What a cesspool.

There is nothing liberal about HuffPo. it is part of the corporate media that bows to power.

Without clicking the link to that article I'm setting the over/under for the number of "problematics" in it at 7.5.

It is more than that.

It plays to the worse of the liberal audience. Open letter from a mother with autism. Why you should be offended by everything. Why men are evil. There is no nuance.

And I missed probably the best example:

Literally have never seen that warning anywhere else or on stories about say mass shootings or the Holocaust.

It's a load of bullshit wrapped in the blanket of "I care about everyone!".

That's just the thing--I don't even think most of them attempt to come off as caring. They attempt to come as evangelists and troublemakers (for their good causes), not caring or loving. Of course, they often come off as smug and self-righteous and, ironically, unempathetic and not at all persuasive.

Disability studies is a thing, and it can be interesting. It can also be bullshit. If it were responsible for the ADA, then that would be cool....but it's really not.

Oh. My. God.

Quote:
Central to artist Sophia Hewson’s work is “the idea that rape is more than an unwanted sexual act.”

No, really:

Quote:
“Central to this work is also the idea that rape is more than an unwanted sexual act, that it is the foundation for the entire institution of the patriarchy, and hence it is the crucial battleground for dismantling male power,” Hewson further explains in the statement. “If rape is the ultimate weapon of male-domination, then anything outside of being permanently impacted by the experience, undermines male weaponry. To choose to put yourself in this situation, to show (even symbolically) a woman enduring the scene in ‘Untitled (are you ok bob?),’ is conceptually challenging because it threatens our assumption that man’s power is insurmountable. And in the ideology of patriarchy that is the deepest offense possible.”

So...men need to see rape to know that rape is bad? Who is in disagreement that rape is a bad thing other than rapists?!?!? And even then, do the rapists not know what they're doing is bad, or do they just not care?

So if I buy a piece of her art, will she suck me off as a thank you?

If you can get past the body hair and lack of deodorant. That is literally how these artists roll.

Yeah, as I've said before, this idea of "teach men not to rape" as a construct similar to "teach dogs not to shit on the floor" is a folly. Guys in modern Western civilization know not to rape the same way they know not to murder, not to steal, or not to shit all over a nice hardwood floor. Obviously, some people do it anyway. They just don't care, whether in that moment or chronically, and that's much harder to reckon with, this idea that someone can willfully transgress like that.

So you don't think this art installation will stop rape? Shame.

Well, I think that's a Chink way back on the left.

Obama and the Clintons and Joe Biden and Washerwoman-Schultz and Anthony Wiener and Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid and Rachel Maddow and Dyln Rattigan and John Harwood and etc. are why people hate liberals.
And how their policies have ruined America as we knew it. Make America great again, says I.

Everybody is focusing on the blazing whiteness of that picture, but I want to know why it's so A-OK to all-but say "we don't hire men as editors"? The original point of the tweeted picture was to highlight the complete lack of a penis in that meeting of editors, but...isn't that a bad thing? If a managerial staff meeting is full of men, and that is indicative of prejudicial hiring practices, isn't a picture of a managerial staff meeting full of women indicative of the same?
