As a community we rallied around one another to defeat MSFMB. Of course their launch made it somewhat easy.

One was very similar to another board and relied almost exclusively on that board's members for their market share.

I don't believe anyone who still regularly posts here said or felt that ever.

CSFMB was an established neighborhood treasure and they tried to open up a very similar place across the street. And there was no hook. Come here and do the same thing you do at the other board with less people and more Milwaukee focus?

I was on the outside of the situation. I was never dissatisfied here so leaving never occurred to me. Your viewpoint of your failed rebellion would be much more informative as there seem to be feelings that remain.

This is the right answer.

I'm still surprised when the people were banned here that more didn't jump over. bigfan banned leash for like 11 months and leash stayed loyal to bigfan and returned. Others got long bans and still didn't go over there. I think they actually deserve some credit for that.

I remained loyal to the people of this board because it really is a good group with lots of different viewpoints. Rick and others also advocated for me for those months, which I know was tough to do because if they said the wrong thing, they would have been banned themselves. I felt a duty to come back for those who stood up for me and FF.

Also, this board caught Blackhawk fever right around then and tailed the Blackhawks to success. I bet even BigFan--the guy who started a chicago sports fan message board sans any Blackhawks section-- has a Toews jersey now.

That the older website is labeled uncool and everyone jumps ship. Clearly, the existing website would have the advantage with loyalty, habits, familiarity, being saved to everyone's favorites, etc.
