Answer the poll question to the best of your feeble ability.

Choose any and all answers you feel would be a defined "choke" and not just an "any given Sunday" type of situation.

Tunney wins the plaza fight.

I honestly don't even understand the question or why anyone would care. If they lose, they lose. If they win, they win. I'm not going to lose sleep because someone thinks they "choked."

If they don't go 11-0.

Missing the playoffs qualifies as a choke at this stage.

That sounds pretty binary to me.

Barring catastrophic injuries piling up, the answer is up to, and including, losing in the NLDS.

In the context of "choking", yes... I won't look back in ten years if they lose and care whether they "choked". I will just know that they lost.

It isn't about losing sleep. Believe me...I'm the one that came up with my "points system" two years ago and am comfortable with it. I rarely think about what gets Frank off. ;)

But it is interesting to see others' opinions...even if I give them no weight when it comes to my own decision making.

A piece of concrete doesn't fall on Frank's head when he's at Pearl Jam

So you viewed last years loss the same as 2003?

This is what I chose. It would be unfortunate to lose in the NLCS again, but that cannot be considered a choke.

Unless it occurs four seasons in a row.

The best hitting, pitching, and fielding team not making the World Series would not be a choke?

Nice try, Kirkwood. I'll be on the field, not in the crumbling stands. I'll be sure to spit on the ivy for you though.

To answer IMU's question, based on the posts he had made and threads he has started, clearly its winning 2 or less World Series titles.

Don Tiny has the correct answer so far.

Yes. Both were upsetting for different reasons.

Most would agree 2003 was a choke.

Though a loss is a loss either way.

The 2015 playoffs felt much more successful, for many reasons, even though last year there were no NLCS games won.

Correct.

Anything can happen in four straight games. It would be extremely disappointing, but it wouldn't be a choke.

The best regular season team does not always win the World Series. In fact, most years the best regular season team does not.

The Cubs are historically good through almost a third of the regular season. But that is the regular season.

They already choked. Was expecting 160-2 or better.

They have to WIN the world series or put up a hell of a battle in the WS or it is a FAIL!

like that seattle team that won 120 games and choked.

Not winning the division at this point or blowing a 2 game lead in the playoffs to lose.

Just straight up losing in the playoffs isn't a choke since it's a total crap shoot.

Statistically your expecations are more sound than what I said ... I'm just expecting more than I should, as any long-time Cubs fan would.

It's the dumbest excuse in sports that the MLB playoffs are a crap shoot and don't matter.

It is either 1) Not true or 2) Baseball is a dumb sport without skill and not worth paying attention to.
