Certain people pointed out (for years) that one of Big Fan's biggest faults was allowing Elmhurst Steve to post.....in spite of his repeated racist filth. They referenced this almost every single time they criticized BigFan for the way he ran HIS BOARD.

We can all name the names that repeatedly pointed this out.

I do not disagree with them. He's trash.

He should be gone. It's 100% up to the people that manage this board.
I assume that everybody else that felt so strongly about this topic still feels the same way.

If you want to call people out, then do so. The "certain people" thing is dumb, IMO.

The simplest answer I can give you is that BF said that the site was attached to his name/business, and therefore didn't want to be associated with racism, despite the fact that he let Steve spew his garbage for years, and even defended him. The new owners have had the place for a very short time, and JORR said, while Nas disagreed with him, his stance was that if Steve wants to go down that road, then it shall remain out there for all to see, and he will have to own it. And I don't think he has offered up anything other than awful baseball thoughts, in that time frame.

Not to bring up old arguments but another part of that was that others got banned for far less. Leash got an 11 month timeout for one comment. Steve was far more insulting over a longer period of time to a lot more people.

Now that the plan seems to be let everyone post until they completely destroy that privilege it is different.

Nas has repeatedly said "no racism, no porn" but that pretty much everything goes. If Steve posts his usual racist bullshit and its not pruned, then yes I will say something about the new moderators. Ike South has already been warned, and his threads with slurs in the titles were pruned fairly quickly.

As its been correctly pointed out by others, one of the biggest issues with bigfan was that some posters (FF, Leash, Douchebag, myself, Robert Chief...see, I'm not afraid to name names.) would have their posts edited and/or pruned for no apparent reason other than "bigfan didn't like them/us"
