leashyourkids wrote: What would it be? Was there a great flood? 7 days? Is Nas the Messiah? Bigfan was sitting around his house with a number of Score employees. They mentioned that they were moving to a new frequecy and would be referred to as the Score670. Bigfan excused himself to go to the bathroom. He stopped on the way back to the group and registered the website Score670.com. In conclusion, a Jewish man, siting with Jewish Score employees, climbed the stairs to go to the bathroom, and the CSFMB was started. |

I want to hear about the End of Days. It'll have to happen at Lakemoor Fest circa 2020, right? |

Day One: bigfan created this message board, and spmack. Day Two: good dolphin and the White Sox section were created. Day Three: DBOTW and contests were created Day Four: Rightful bannings were created Day Five: Random bannings and hatred of MANY was created Day Six: A new message board was created and this message board was forsaken. Day Seven: Bigfan rested as there was no longer a need to moderate a forum no one posts on besides himself and dman. |

In the beginning, [Albert] Gore created the internet. And the internet was without form, and void; and disconnectivity was upon the links of the deep. And the spirit of Gore moved upon the servers and the landlines. And Gore said, Let there be links: and there were links. And Gore saw the links, that they were good: and Gore divided the pages from the links. And Gore said, Let there be IRC and message boards. And Gore saw them both, and that they were good. Now in Chicagoland in those days, there were no sports messageboards. And there were no kings of those sports messageboards. In the fullness of time, Gore rose up a tribesman, whom was called BigFan. BigFan did then create a nominally sports-related messageboard, and it was called the Chicago Sports Fan Message Board. And it was good enough. And lo did BigFan toil, both night and day, linking several pictures found on Gore's internet, and examining the offerings of those called the Pizza Makers. And lo, those reckonings were mostly unintelligible, but understood throughout the land for what they were - that is, like tomato sauce in Chicago Deep Dish, it was filler. etc. |

Day Seven: Bigfan rested as there was no longer a need to moderate a forum no one posts on besides himself and dman. i was technically there at the dawn of creation, as i think i have an even lower user # than spmack (i'm either 1 before or 1 after My Coach Vinny) however in terms of the genesis of the C/S/FMB i don't purport to be any sort of important/biblical figure worth mentioning. if anything you gotta go back to doctor who circa "the cartmel masterplan" and have me as "the other" who technically was around waaaayyyy back in the day when rassilon and omega were doing their part to take the gallifreyans into time-lord status/civilization/etc, but of course nobody knows who or what "the other" was and IRL when they were going to hype it up as a means of adding mystery back to the doctor's origins that's when the show got canceled and properly sodded off for ~15yrs... ergo Tootsie Roll Owl wrote: the world may never know.... *CRUNCH* so do we consider the previous iteration of the C/S/FMB board (software) to be old testament, or was that some pre-historic shit and we only consider this proper iteration of the C/S/FMB as being worth all the effort to come up with a biblical origin story for? |

RPB's "Dan Bernstein as told by Mort Goldman" has to be in there somewhere. I'm thinking New Testament. |

I just want to skip to the good parts like where the chosen people of the CFMB had to escape the Philistines at the biker message boards by wading out into Lake Michigan where they couldn't give chase. |
