Found out about an hour ago that my first love's 17 year old died in a car accident this morning in Antioch.
We are dear friends to this day, but I've never met her husband, or the father of her son.
Her dad didn't definitely didn't like me, but her mom is sweet, and I'm friends with her sister too.
I just saw them last month, and wished the 17 year old was there.
She came to my apartment after we had broken up with the boy when he was 3 or 4, and he ran roughshod .
I was fine with it.
My dear friend is also battling cancer.
I don't even know what I could say, not that she's checking her phone, understandably.
Just very sad.
And I had to write it out.

Thank you. Not to be crass, but when he was in Driver's ed, (or had a learning permit), he got in an accident,
and it wrecked my ex-girlfriend's ankle. Now this. I hope he wasn't texting or some shit. And part of me hopes
it was the other guy's fault. This was a 1 ton pickup vs a four banger. He would've turned 18 tomorrow. True story.
I liked that kid a lot.
