https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/stat ... 2034118656 Lets skip the fact that its funny that this fridge broadcast porn and get the "LOL PORN ON THE FRIDGE SO COOL WHO'S COMPLAINING" (seriously, as if this shit isn't available enough to you already?) comments out of the way. Is this really the future you want? All your fucking appliances constantly barraging you with some form of something by way of a massive screen? I dont even see what the benefit is. Do I really need to check my email while I grab some milk? Are we supposed to be completely reliant on streaming video being within 10 feet of us at all times? |

My company has been prepping for this for years, and there is a benefit from an economic perspective. Ice makers that shut themselves off when they leak. Air handlers that turn themselves on when it's too cold. Sensors that notify the homeowner when the roof is leaking, etc. |

Also, computers that set reminders to follow up with Seacrest on the hundreds of questions he's never answered... |

Cant the ice-machine-self-diagnose-leak-and-shut-down mechanism just be a closed system with the ice machine? |

But you are right... some of it wouldn't need the connectivity. Except the computer set to call Seacrest out. That one needs connectivity. |

And these things will be hacked. Johnson & Johnson is warning people that their insulin pump has a security issue where someone could mess with it and create a life threatening situation. |

My refigerator supposedly can hook up with the power company and cool more when the rate is cheaper, but I haven't looked into it yet. |
