Also known as the Illinois Media School. Question: is J Hood the most successful person who teaches there or has graduated from there? |

The one thing that strikes me when I hear that commercial with all of the Score producers pimping this school is that none of them speak well. Kind of weird for a commercial of a BROADCASTING SCHOOL. For the love of God, Drinky starts every sentence in his life with "Ahhhhhh". |

The Score belies its "voice of the smart fan" editorial stance with the legions of sub-100s who staff the place. |

Bernstein has made the station the "Anti Meatball" station. But all of the SCORE producers are "Meatballs". They're the only ones that don't know it. Because they are dumb. Furthermore, they don't know that's what Bernstein thinks of them. Although, like I've said, drinky finally figured it out a few years ago. When he did, he's been hostile to Bernstein ever since. |

Given how few radio jobs there are I'd love to see their placement numbers. |

especially when a super solid guy like Rodewald has to leave Chicago for Phoenix... Although, I would imagine it is a pretty $weet gig being on the tele 3x a day. |

This university is so bad I'd rather go to Hamburger University or Indiana University. |

The Score simply isn't going to hire these media-institute graduates who open up a mic and shit all over themselves. They hire four-year college graduates who open up a mic and shit all over themselves. |

Duke education and doctor parentage preferred. |

Yeah, they should feature guys like Zach Zaidman and Danny Parkins in their promotional materials. I'm sure that would really boost their recruitment efforts! |

What they don't talk about with the lists are the college graduates who do not work in their field of study. My impression is that the broadcasting school in Lombard is stealing from the people who have big dreams of being on the radio. My take is that it's irresponsible to train students for careers that don't pay. It's just slightly more ethical than "courses" on the radio that teach people about real estate investing. One of my relatives is a union electrician and he makes more than most of those majors on the top 50 list lowest paying college majors. |

School teachers get summers off, plenty of school year holidays, sick days and pensions. The Chicago CPS teachers have a gravy job and they keep striking. You have to figure those perks into lack of pay compared to a job where someone works 48 to 50 weeks of the year. |

they cant speak clearly because the score only hires the cheapest people that are willing to show up on a regular basis. 40K a year is pretty damn good for a job that you dont have to do anything hard. usually these people have family that subsidizes them in some way or they live with someone who has a real job. or they are so scared of real work they dont care if they live in poverty |

Wires don't weigh a whole lot. I guess there's painting but they don't make shit and it's boring as fuck. |

Reading between the lines, he's one of the 3-4 that makes more. I agree, but the person to whom he was responding said it took close to ten years to make over $40k. That makes me think that Zawaski doesn't make that much more than $40k. I always figured people like him made north of $60k (which, if you have a spouse who makes a similar amount is a fine household income), now I have my doubts. |

40k isn't much. Amazon pays 15 an hour, throw on overtime you're between 40 and 50k. |

Zawaski has been working at the Score for about 20 years. The thought that he earns only slightly more than $40 K is truly depressing. |
