Metta World Peace decided to go with a trick over treat for Halloween.

The Lakers forward played a “joke” by claiming he was touched inappropriately by ghosts at the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City over the weekend.

“The ghosts were all over me. I just accepted it,” he told the Orange County Register. “They touched me all over the place. I’m taking one of the ghosts to court for touching me in the wrong places.”

Metta World Peace insisted he was serious and explained why he didn’t leave the hotel.

“I was watching a good movie and I was tired,” he said. “I didn’t want to move.”

The movie was George Clooney’s “Money Monster.”

Despite insisting to the OC Register he was serious, Metta World Peace eventually posted a video on Twitter that this was all just a joke, accompanied with some tweets:“Actually, I was joking. Happy Halloween to you,” he wrote.

“Hope you guys had a good laugh,” said another tweet.

Hilarious.

For context, isn't that the hotel that many considered to be haunted by ghosts? The NBA always stays there and you hear stories about things going bump in the night.
