theyre really popular up here. like, youre a quality person if you have a carhart beanie on.  i remember 15 years ago we would wear them to stay warm, and i would be associated with trailer trash for wearing the stuff. didnt care, i was warm, but it was like labelling myself as a notch below blue collar. |

so weird. i dont get it. they were 'farm and fleet' brand back when i was younger. now you see hot chicks sport them like it makes them fashionable. people are so fucking weird |

I wear them all the time in the winter cause they're so damn warm. |

I bought one years ago when I was doing residential construction in the winter. They keep you warm. |

Probably good down to about 35 degrees or so. So when we had the polar vortex crap a few years back and a few weeks of Temps below zero I started wearing my fleece lines carhartt. My boss yelled at me. We give you a jacket he says. Do you work for carhartt he says. I'm like dude it's too cold for those do you really think customers give a damn what kind of jacket I'm wearing. He threatens to suspend me if I wear a suitably warm jacket again. So I freeze with my stupid company fleece. I'm also forbidden from wearing a wool or knit cap. I'm only allowed to wear a company baseball type hat. So basically I am cold all winter long. |
