This new phrase has worked its way into the mainstream here and CFMB and it has flown directly over me head. What is a 'Beta'? Are there more than one (1) ((hi stoneroses)) type of 'Beta'? Are Beta's only of the male varietal or can one be of the femail varietal? Is the thread that shall not be named that rails against an idiot femail ex lawer a Beta of some sort? beni thanks you for providing any response to the aforementioned 'Beta' questions? |

Try watching one of those adds and identify what the hell the pill is curing. There is more discussion about all of the side effects than the actual 'good' it is supposed to be providing the recipient. |

Folks from India/Pakistan/Native American (USA) think I am a screwball, but the handshake is everything...damn glad to meet ya. That means something. Eye contact is a given. But it is cultural. Any pasty face that doesn't give eye contact cannot be trusted. Folks from other parts of the globe get an immediate pass. |

Betamax (also called Beta, as in its logo) is a consumer-level analog-recording and cassette format of magnetic tape for video. It was developed by Sony and was released in Japan on May 10, 1975. The first Betamax introduced in the United States was the LV-1901 console, which included a 19-inch (48 cm) color monitor, and appeared in stores in early November 1975. The cassettes contain 0.50-inch-wide (12.7 mm) videotape in a design similar to that of the earlier, professional 0.75-inch-wide (19 mm), U-matic format. Betamax is obsolete, having lost the videotape format war to VHS. Production of Betamax recorders ceased in 2002; new Betamax cassettes were available until March 2016, when Sony stopped making and selling them.
