Reports are 1/3 of downtown is damaged or gone. Hundreds of homes and other business gone. Massive destruction. Might have been arson. |

If the fire was caused by arson, which MANY are saying, I would look at the owners of that place first. Ober Gatlingburg looked like it was built in the 1950's and I don't think they have updated a single thing since that time. The owners were probably broke because the place looked very run down. When the aerial tram got to the top of the mountain, I felt like I was stepping out into a timewarp. |

I was also there over the summer. We went to Ober, wasn't impressed. But they released video that the place wasn't destroyed. It's still there. |

These are MANY of the same climate change deniers living through a drought, but not recognizing it, even while smugly laughing at southern California's continuing issues, or arguing against unpaid relief after Hurricane Sandy. They oddly are not too sanctimonious now, but I am sure they will be after they get aid. |
