BRick inspired me by his rather go to Costco than church on Sunday morning comment.

So, for the heathens among us, what do you do in lieu of going to a house of worship on a weekly basis?

I bowl with a bunch of old Jewish guys on Sunday mornings.

I really like this one priest at our church so I've been going to mass for about a year or so, unless my son has hockey.

April through October I play golf. The rest of the year I usually go to church.

Having a good priest really makes all the difference between wanting to go to mass and watching the clock for the entire hour.

I was actually thinking about creating a thread to liven things up around here today. I see now that I should have.

For sure. He usually says 2 or so over the weekend. If I miss them, I usually skip it. A few weeks ago there was a visiting priest that said the homily. I was grouchy for a few hours afterward, I felt cheated! One of the other guya is just brutal. All he does is preach, preach, preach and is in no way relatable. Loves the sound of his voice. Blech.

Other than personal talent level, I'm not sure what's stopping you from doing so still.

Usually sleeping off a hangover til football starts. Nothing better than when the noon hour on a Sunday hits.
