The jury can't reach a verdict. I can't see how they can be deadlocked when murder AND manslaughter is on the table. I know a Chicago cop who was fired and convicted (2 years in prison) for slapping a kid who had a gun (there was video) but this cop shot a man in the back and he may not get convicted of anything. |

Not just shot him in the back, but chased him to do it! |

I don't understand how anybody could not come to the conclusion this was murder, not manslaughter, cold blooded murder. |

This cop was fired and he's going to spend 2 years in jail. The kid/man he arrested actually had a gun too. https://youtu.be/Yfv3wYRM-AE This cop may not go to prison even though he shot an unarmed man in the back that was running in slow motion. https://youtu.be/U3qNWHZJIYw |

Video of a cop shooting a guy that was running slower than my 60 year old mom. From a busted tail light traffic stop. Where is the danger here? How can you justify this? |

All the defense needed was one blindingly racist, #bluelivesmatter type to make it through jury selection, looks like they found one. Prosecution just needs to be more crafty in getting those kinds of people dismissed the next time around, which I'm sure they'll do. Wouldn't be surprised to see him plead to manslaughter before the next trial, though, because even though they're in Charleston, SC, this jury was reeeealllly close to putting this guy away for the rest of his life, and you're not always going to get lucky like he did. |

It's amazing how much the deck is stacked for police officers. This was an easy one. This is why there are protests and riots. Hopefully the "Blue Lives Matter" people figure it out. |
