Growing up, my football hero was Andy Katzenmoyer. He was a freak for Ohio State and should have been what Urlacher was. He ended up playing just a couple seasons in the NFL.

For me it would have to be a DePaul guy, maybe Teddy Grubbs or Howard Nathan.

I'll throw Frank Williams in there too. I thought that he would develop a jumper and be decent in the NBA.

Stacey Augmon was my guy back in the UNLV glory days. Had a nice NBA career but just wasn't able to take it up to a level of
being more than "a guy" after his first 4-5 years.

It was during the Champaign year, he caught a TD and did this weird celebration where it looked like he was rolling down a car window then throwing money out of it... I wish they had gifs back then. Really embodied what a knucklehead he was

I remember being a big Eric Daze fan though I don't really know if he panned out or not.

I have a long list of college favorites who didn't work out in the pros but that wasn't completely unexpected either.

I would've thought Kyle Orton would occupy the top spot on your list.

Kyle Orton panned out. He is the best backup QB in NFL history.

I'm with you there. He was even in an ESPN commercial! I think his hand was in a cast in it, too.
