Well, he's trying his hand at it anyway. He just worked on an episode of Chicago Fire shot last week, where he was in the role of a Chicago Police Sgt. I drive the car he arrives to the scene in and then he runs to the trunk for a bullhorn, while I take up position with an M6. It was fun to work with a bunch of real swat and tactical police officers and former Police Officers (like myself), who made filming the scenes a blast. Izzy seemed to enjoy himself. He told me in the car between takes that this was his first acting gig. He's still planning on doing work as an NFL analyst as well as doing the same for the CFL. He's from Canada, which I was not aware of before. It's episode 15 which should air in about 4-5 weeks. |

Given Steve's history, I am mildly surprised that he was able to have a seemingly decent conversation with somebody named Israel. |

Him trying to be an actor makes sense. You shoot the same scene over and over...Just like calling in to every radio show with the same bad thoughts over and over. |

the best part about this thread is that steve does that thing where he misspells israel idonije to let the little guy know that "the brand doesn't know him" (see martin luthor king jr.... one way or another!) |
