Craftsman, Kenmore and DieHard still not sold yet, but that is the only reason Sears is still technically open. http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companie ... li=BBnb7Kz Quote: The stock’s latest fall, 13% on Jan. 30, takes the value of Sears down to $640 million. That’s 71% below where it was in 2016. In 2007, SHLD stock traded at $190 per share. That’s more than $10 billion wiped away. I know we have been talking about how it's over for years now... and it's not even sad anymore... but this is hot garbage time. In a way, it's a fun time to go there. I was there a month ago and there is literally like 3 people in the entire store. All this shit there, and theres a few customers... but you can't get an employee to take your money if you put a gun in their face. Might be a good time to go take some selfies so you can show your grandkids someday. Or, be a cool grandpa and make a vine showing your younger self trashing the store for 7 seconds and not getting caught. |

You can tell they are planning on shutting down soon. You will see lots of bare shelves. When products are not getting restocked, you know the end is near and liquidation is around the corner. |

Someone would be able to dig up whether they are renewing contracts to make Craftsman or other Sears products. |

Craftsman was sold, to Stanley/Black & Decker I believe. The sale may not have closed yet. |

I wouldn't be surprised if they closed most brick and mortar but tried to maintain a web presence. They really are pushing that data mining/customer demographics stuff. |

I also don't know if the sale is closed, but this was big news in my industry when they made a move to buy them. See below. On January 5, 2017, Stanley Black & Decker and Sears Holdings announced Stanley Black & Decker would purchase the Craftsman brand from Sears Holdings in a deal valued at approximately $900 million.[13] Under the terms of the deal, Stanley Black & Decker will pay $525 million when the deal closes and $250 million at the end of the third year after closing. Sears will also collect a percentage of new Craftsman sales for 15 years after the deal closes. Sears will be able to continue selling Craftsman tools under a licensing agreement, royalty free, for the first 15 years. Afterwards, Sears will pay Stanley Black & Decker a 3% licensing fee.[14] |

The Crystal Lake store is gone in March to be replaced by a Marianos. I don't think they will be gone, their e-commerce business is still pretty huge. Its just not profitable going forward for them to have brick and mortar. |

Oh come on now, everyone had a wood-cabinet TV. Hell, until the late mid-90s I still kept one in the basement solely to use the old Atari 2600 on with the proper TV/Game selector screwed onto the back. |
