Baseball has to be Babe Ruth. As good as Bonds, Mays, Mantle, Schwarber, etc are, they didnt pitch. |

It doesn't matter much since hockey is barely a sport and all but Gretzky separated himself from anyone else in his sport far more than anyone else from the other sports did. Him still being the all time points leader even if you take away every goal he ever scored is one of the great all time stats. |

Maybe if I had to I would go with Sampras or Borg. Women's Tennis: I'd toss it up between Serena, Steffi, and Chrissie. Serena is obviously the most fun to watch, but if they played at their peaks, I think Evert could just stand on the baseline until Serena blew a fuse. I don't think Serena could ever take Evert on clay and I would give Graf a slight edge over Serena on grass and a bigger one over Evert. |

I almost forgot horse racing. Secretariat had the most dominant individual performance I've ever witnessed in any sport. He deserves mention. |

Sampras couldn't win on clay. He's up there, but not the greatest. I don't think he was even better than Agassi, even though he had more titles. Sampras could win on hard in his sleep. Federer, to me, is the greatest men's tennis player of all time. Yes he dominated during a time when men's tennis was on a decline; but he also has been amazing into his mid 30's, and could probably nab another slam or two before he's done. He also won on every surface. |
