One of my friends' kids attends an elite East Coast prep school. I asked him if he went to school with any kings. With a straight face he said, "They're too young to be kings, Joe Orr, they're princes." One of his friends is actually a Nigerian prince. He told me that members of his family get assassinated all the time. I told my friend that if he played his cards right maybe the prince would give him a job as his food taster or something.

Another one of his friends lives on a ship when he isn't in school. And a kid on his basketball team has a dad who flies in from California on his private jet for all the games.

But my 16 year old friend told me, "You know how you know who the really rich kids are? They never talk about their money."

I don't know how anyone can consider himself rich staring at the cost of a college tuition.

Yep the truly rich don't even consider money (outside of making it). They just buy/take whatever they like without regard to cost.

While I agree with your "friend's" assessment, I feel compelled to note that your collection of friendships seems to be getting odder and odder. Have you introduced this kid to your shaving pal? I bet they'd have a lot to discuss!
