They are missing the point, America isn't against immigrants. We need them,we understand that. We just want them to do it legally and legit. So they can be counted correctly for tax reasons as well as resources. Maybe the reason Chicago schools are shit and they constantly need more money and feel they are not getting their fair share is they allow undocumented to attend. If they are not counted for tax reasons and for the money distribution formulas then of course the schools are not going to get all the money they need as they have more students than the State thinks and allocates funds for. |

It's disingenuous for them to leave out the word "illegal." This reminds me of the proposed "Gas Outs" from several years ago when people were going to "stick it" to oil companies by not buying gas on, say, Tuesday. They did, of course, have to buy gas the next day instead. |

Well, a child who was brought to this country illegally by his/her parents and has grown up in the U.S. his/her entire life probably deserves a little more consideration than just, "Deport that motherfucker!" What that means for the parents, I'm not sure. It's not really as simple as some people make it seem. I don't think Trump has ever suggested sending ICE into schools. Obama deported a lot of people but CPS never grandstanded by advising principals not to allow agents into schools without a warrant during his administration. |

I don't have an issue with people being fired for not showing up to work. I have an issue with deporting kids who are jusy as American as any of us and the president not keeping his word and just deporting violent criminals like Obama. |

If deportations to stop they need to organize massive strikes and try to get what remains of organized labor to jump on board. It's going to take ugly disrupting action for anything to get done. A one-day strike is better than kneeling during the anthem, but not by much. |
