Because there hasn't made a good movie since 300 or Inglorious Basterds, I don't watch these award shows. But could there be any more fitting ending for all these Hollywood snobs practicing their annual self-idolatry than for the award for best picture to be blown? It just shows how meaningless and stupid the whole thing is. Warren Beatty couldn't figure on his own that he was handed the wrong card showing Emma Stone winning Best Actress? Aside from the work of a few good directors, the film industry is dying a slow, albeit sure death. |
