It was fun for a while, but I find myself just getting angry or depressed anytime I visit that site. It's a bizarre world with nothing but hate, hot takes, and weirdos like Julie DiCaro. I would never hang out with these people in real life, so why do I care what they have to say on Twitter? Done! I'm also considering getting off Facebook. Nothing but people posting shit to stroke their ego. Anyone care to join me?

I have a Twitter account in case I leave or am evicted from my current job and have to become a sole proprietor and troll for work. I only use it to have the option to DM various airlines when flights get messed up. I have had two tweets in the last five years. I don't see the point.

I got a twitter account like 2-3 weeks ago. I dont know what the big deal is. I subscribed to the Cubs channel but that's it. All it does is give you information. I rarely post.

I dont know how one can get angry at it. I don't have any people I follow. I just follow sports organizations or interests.


I got Facebook around the same time and that thing is the biggest lying POS site i ever visited. I looked up and friended people from like 20-30 years ago I knew. Then we caught up and talked on the phone catching up on our lives. Then I go to their facebook sites and everyone appears like they're all happy and cheery and living the perfect lives. But in reality they all have the same issues everyone has during life. I guess people feel better when they have to lie to the world.

And the facebook friends thing gets me. Some of these dorks have like 300-400 friends. I mean how many of those friends are real life friends?

At least i'm proud enough to say I have ZERO friends on Facebook and ZERO friends in real life!

100% agree with you about Facebook. Deleted my account after college. I'll keep in touch with people who I want to keep in touch with.

Twitter is different for me. I follow NBA reporters, comedians, physicists, some independent news people, and close friends. I've got it set as my home page. That's where I get my news and anything I want to read.

I don't use any social media but using Twitter is fine as long as you're just trying to keep up with sports and music and such.

If any guy here uses facebook, guess what? You're a burrito.

Someone did that on an old White Sox email discussion list. She announced that she would be leaving the list in five days...then four...and so on, until the big day. Supposedly, she later joined a web discussion board and said no one on the listserv would sleep with her. Weird.

I don't use Facebook but I'll generally accept friendship if offered because I'm an agreeable fellow. There was a girl who sat in front of me in class who use to write "I heart good dolphin" on my notebooks. You couldn't hit me over the head with it any harder but I still never picked up on it. She had a cute personality but was kind of swarthy at the time. She friended me on Facebook. She is now some kind of well known yoga instructor in Los Angeles with all of the benefits you would expect from such a title. I tell myself that our lifestyles would never have worked together anyway.
