Chomsky is Alex Jones only if you beat him on the head for a few hours and erased about 150 points of his IQ. The problem with Chomsky isn't that he doesn't know what he's talking about, it's that he's become more and more morally confused to the point where every evil in the world is reflexively blamed on the United States/Great Britain/Israel.

Seriously, my biggest issue with Chomsky is that he seems to equate weakness with goodness/moral superiority which leads him down a path to absolving or at least minimizing atrocities.

I could see him arguing that the Columbine shooters were a result of high school jock culture which stems from the larger obsession with sports in American society with CFMB being a willing contributor this brutal structure. Regardless of whether there is a kernel of truth there- and I think there probably is- you've lost your moral compass when such a fact leads you to defend two goofs who shot up their school.

Just when did all this we need the entire world's opinion stuff happen? When the EU formed and then it was thought we should all unite? Was it Bush I's insistence on a world coalition for Kuwait? Some good things certainly can come from the world working together in spite of the corrupt UN but just stop and take care of your own backyard.
