So we took our track team to southern Illinois for a meet tomorrow and we are sharing a floor with a travel baseball team of what appear to be 7th or 8th graders. The parents had a couple of coolers in the lobby, then a bunch of them headed over to the bar across the parking lot. Some of them are stumbling back now.

Yeah because only travel baseball parents have coolers and drink too much. FWIW I was well behaved last night and only knocked back six beers and came home early enough to miss the Cubs losing.

My oldest son played a little travel ball. We were probably the most popular group at every tourney- we won a grand total of one game, always had beer, and, unverified by me personally, at least two of the couples were all-out swingers!

I did manage to make a complete fool of myself at a middle-school basketball tourney, when one of the other dad's brought out a fifth of bourbon, which he and I proceeded to finish. The whole motel floor heard me blowing chunks that next morning...

I drove one of those electric carts out of a grocery store in Jacksonville IL. I had my case of beer in the front basket. The clerks all chased after me. I abandoned cart before I got to the car. That shitty downstate town deserved by assholery.
