The AP is probably about as straight down the fairway as you're going to find. But regarding the Fresno shooter last week, for some reason they wrote that he yelled, "God is great!" He certainly did not yell that. And we all know what he actually yelled. I don't know if writing the story that way is "fake news", but it certainly shows a slant or an agenda or minimally a fear of the truth.

The media can't even agree on illegal immigrants or undocumented immigrants. I think we go through the same thing with Islamic extremists. Everything is so politically charged, and people are afraid to call things for what they really are.

The Founders framed a strong central government as "Federalists" and won the day in part by labeling opponents as "anti-Federalists". But to most folks today, Federalists are the people advocating for states rights and limited Federal intervention. So maybe labels and spinning matter......
