Also, the only reason ISIS hasn't murdered ten times that number (and I mean literally murdered) is capability. Sunni Muslims are extremely dangerous when put in power, anything should be done to avoid that scenario. |

Other than the Kurds (who are fighting for a small sliver) there is no one to back. Assad is Assad, ISIS is ISIS, and the FSA has been more or less taken over by Al Qaeda and Al Nusra. You really have no side worth picking that is vying for control of the country. It's just like with Iraq, Saddam was killing tens of thousands, but he ended up being the least bad option and we never should've removed him. Removing Assad would be like removing Saddam, but on steroids as Lebanon would fall right after. |

They have been that for the past 3 generations. They have managed to avoid becoming a haven for terrorist groups through the entire process as well. |

What is the United States supposed to do? Invade Syria? Establish democracy there and fight off ISIS until they can stand on their own? It would be damn near impossible to do with without broad international support or a draft. |

I guess it really is a Do Something About Assad / Stop Doing Something About Assad thing. Americans are funny that way now. Save the world and stop all atrocities but if you can't be done in a month's worth of TV fireworks shows forget it. |

You gotta do something, We gotta do something, Sometimes I sit in my room and I don't know what to do, but we've gotta do something! |
