I'm all for culling Coyotes, but this is a little extreme.

Kind of worse than wishing death upon a former Score producer.

A good start to a life as a serial killer.

These coyotes are a menace to pets so I'm fine with it.

Leash would throw that thing through a window in an instant.

I don't like coyotes but I couldn't kill pups. It is the most efficient population control mind you but I don't have it in me to off a pup.

This guy didn't just kill them either. He beat them and drown them.

Maybe if y'all didn't have such beta cuck pets you wouldn't have to worry about coyotes.

MANY suburban coyotes are wolf hybrids. Marauding killing machines.

The mother will be in estrus in 10 days and 63 days later will have a den full of pups...reintroducing wolves is the best population control.

Bigger problem with multiple yotes vs sub 50 pound dogs. My old Anatolian mix would go after them out here but he weighed 130 pounds. Still, if you are going to thin the herd then do it quick and as painless as possible. It's just common sense.

I see them often out here and they usually give me a wtf look and run off. But they can do serious damage during breeding and whelping seasons. The shoot dozens a year in this township and we just have more and more.

The old way was to follow mom back and kill her too.

Coyotes are a menace no doubt. Up here in ND you can literally pull over anywhere and shoot a coyote year round with no repercussions.

However, this is a step above controlling a population. Can't imagine ever doing something like this, and being totally ok with it afterwards. How does a human mind reconcile this is an ok thing to do?

Rifle is honestly the best way to deal with coyotes. It's relatively humane and while it may be a problem in Cook County, most US counties will not ask a single question should you dispatch a coyote with one.

Big story going around on Facebook today is some asshole from Oaklawn who dropped two poodles off a four-story parking garage yesterday, killing one of them. Supposedly he had been answering lost pet notices claiming he was the owner and people are giving him the pets . Guess last week he was seen beating a different a different dog.

Agree 100%.

I read a story yesterday about a guy who dropped two dogs off the 5th floor of a parking tower at Christ Hospital. I really wish I hadn't read it.

Illinois is open season on coyotes. Only time you can't use a rifle is during deer firearm seasons. I don't know what cook and the collar counties rules are but I imagine most would be a no go. People hunt them with dogs, will calls or using shoot as opportunity presents itself, they'll breed faster than the hunters can kill them. The trappers seem to do a better job to be honest and actually can make a dent but it's temporary. A lot of source populations.

Yeah Frank and Brogue, I saw a screen shot of a Craig's list ad on my FB about some guy in Duluth, MN who was looking for kittens, small dogs, hamsters, gerbils, or rabbits to feed to his monitor lizard.

I just don't understand the lack of empathy. Really bothers me.

The same rule should apply to that asshole that applies to coyotes where I live, legal to shoot on sight.

That guy is going to be a serial killer

Squirrel, the coyotes I see in the burbs are huge compared to the ones I saw growing up out that way. It's crazy. I've read a couple articles that say that the coyotes around here have a higher than usual amount of wolf DNA for whatever reason.

I think in the last year or two animal cruelty has been upgraded to a serious felony.
