So, I'm not sure its racism as much as he is subliminally prejudice, either intentionally or unintentionally. What's funny is that MANY of his supporters have taken his presidency as the invitation to be publicly prejudice, when before it was just "something you talked about inwardly to the other white folks you knew". |

Aside from getting him elected, I have little doubt he has nothing but contempt for the poor white voters that got him elected. But stoking racism makes them like him, so they are a means to his end. |

Very true. That racism can be quite blatant, and less restrained nowadays. Tho I must say when Barack was elected it started gaining momentum. Those first couple years of his first term was the first (LoL) time I can recall racist white people being more upfront with their racism in groups of random white people. Now it's gone from simmering to spilling out. |

Do you think white people saw Obama's presidency as a direct impact to white supremacy? I don't know, I haven't done the research, but he was a lightning rod around some of the more racist people I (unfortunately) have to occasionally interact with. As I've mentioned before, the social media posts I see, primarily from city police and firefighters, have been non-stop Trump support with anti-black, anti-muslim and anti-immigrant propaganda. There was much less of it during the Obama era. |
