Amazing. By default any vicious crime like that has to involve hate, but I don't see it as a racial attack. These guys were just intent on extracting revenge and getting anyone that lived in that apartment. If the innocent guy had been Asian or black, they would have done the same thing.

Wow. Sick. I would agree it's a hate crime. They didn't even have a purpose for the guy... they just got off on the torture.

Unless there is 100% video proof of a person admitting they are racist, it's dangerous to accuse someone of being a racist.

They should have just targeted the middle man for retribution. I wonder if the Rivera dude had spoken with his cousin about the botched drug deal. If he had then it would have been apparent that the Smith dude was in on it. Even if he wasn't they would not have been wrong to assume that he was.

Robberies are very common at the lower levels of drug dealing. Especially when you are dealing in quantities above a pound. It's not uncommon to be robbed by folks working for the people that sold to you in the first place. It's a scam learned from the mafia.
