4 hours seems rather quick to declare a mistrial in a murder case. |

"We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas." What kind of judge let's that happen? Oh you're hopelessly deadlocked after 4 hours? Ok. Now you're all sequestered until you come back with a verdict. |

Dating the just-of-age daughter of a pair of podunk southern cops? I wouldn't go there, regardless of race. And this cop might've been the girl's "step" dad? Step-fathers are the worst. They feel they have something to prove and so overdo it when it comes to these situations. Looks like the prosecutor is doing the Ferguson thing, where you don't really try to convict the cop: ![]() |

In 1991 Spike Lee released the romcom darling Jungle Fever which addressed the subject of interracial relationships. Unfortunately for Jeremy Lake, former police officer Shannon Kemp decided to address the subject by fatally shooting him. |

This is justice when you are a cop in America. |

Oklahoma sure gets people to trial quickly....not just this guy, but the others mentioned, too....that's weird that they don't know if the deadlock was not guilty-guilty or manslaughter-murder.... |

This cop would make a great writer at Jezebel. http://www.mediaite.com/online/jezebel- ... s-in-film/ Serious note, what a joke that he got off for this. |

This is justice when you are a cop in America. Not going to lie, but if a relative of the deceased took out vigilante justice and was then put on trial for disposing of this piece of shit, I'd acquit. If courts won't convict a cop clearly guilty of murder, then I honestly have no problem if someone takes the law into their own hands. |
