I don't understand why the D.A. would have given DiNardo any type of deal to spare his life from the death penalty for these four gruesome murders.

How is this justice? Yes, the D.A. was able to obtain the confession, but the police would have probably got the confession anyway in time and/or located the bodies.

There should be massive outrage at this D.A. for being too quick to deal, when he is getting the hero treatment. Now the taxpayers are going to have to pay for this guy rotting in jail for the rest of his life, when he should be put to death.

The DA saved a lot of money by avoiding a trial, appeals etc.

I thought stuff like that wasn't supposed to happen to weed smokers .

Maybe there are lawyers here that know differently, but I don't think a confession precludes a trial. A jury would still have to decide the case in light of the confession.

Those bodies were 12 feet deep too, very doubtful they recover them without the plea deal. This scumbag was diagnosed schizophrenic and had a head injury from an atv accident.. I'm not saying this nutjob would have walked but he could have landed in a hospital for 20 years instead of prison for life.

Cadaver dogs found them right? One of the victims cell phones pinged from the farm loacation so I think that's what gave the cops the location where to look . I don't think schizo boy gave them that info.

Pennsylvania doesn't seem to take the death penalty too seriously. Other than a brief period under Tom Ridge in the late 90's when they executed a trio of guys who were literally asking for it/asking to be lethally injected, they've not executed anyone else since getting the go-ahead from the US Supremes in the 70's.
So the deal of taking the death penalty off the table in a state that doesn't really seem to bother executing anyone isn't that much of a deal.

No motive has come out in this case yet, other than robbery. In order to determine what statutory crime has been committed, doesn't the D.A. need to know what the motive was first?

Truly outrageous that the D.A. would offer any deal without being clear on the motive.

Cops said the 4th guy, first one killed, Jimi Tar Patrick? was buried in a more remote location that they'd have had a lot more difficulty finding. Who knows. Since dude dug both holes with a backhoe, prolly not to tough to find the 2nd one either. Look for backhoe tracks and a fresh dig?

The cop on TV said the dogs located the first body even though it was buried under a propane tank 12 feet down. I'm guessing they might have found the bodies eventually without any info from that kid.

You have never heard of Reefer Madness? I don't care what anyone says, the drug makes you paranoid.

Someone wrote elsewhere that the most dangerous part of weed is where you have to go to get it. So true!
