What are the requirements these days to get a disabled pass at places like Great America? Do they give them to weird emo teens now with emotional issues? I swear, 95% of the people I saw in the "cripple line", there was nothing wrong with them..what gives?

Yes, it's becoming over the top. I think you can get a note from a doctor and it can be for any reason imaginable. You don't just have to be handicapped.

It's a buddy pass system. So not only does the weird emo with AssBurgers get to cut.....four of their stupid fucking friends get to cut with them too...so hell yeah. The fast pass is expensive.

I'm fairly certain your mental condition makes you eligible. Just get a note from your psychiatrist.

That does suck. Lines are always the worst part of theme parks.

I actually noticed it being abused the other day when the wife and I took the kids to ride a bit after work. Dude was carrying around a handicap pass, and showing it to the attendant at the exits, then just sending his kids on to ride...I can't remember which ride we were at, but the kid running it told the guy that if he isn't riding with them, his kids have to get in line like everyone else.

Agreed. That fat fuck probably complained, though, and the poor kid probably got fired, or shipped off to cleanup duty or some such shit, though.

There was a controversy a few years ago regarding people who were hiring handicapped people to "escort" them and their families through the fast lanes at Disneyworld.

I find that both horrific and brilliant at the same time.

Makes sense; it's not likely that they'll be able to run away.

They've dealt with that with the fast passes/magic bands.

Yeah, I give Disney credit, they treat everyone at equals. You get 3 a day, whether you stay at a Suite at the Grand Flordian or at the Motel 6 in Kississmee.

Yup. Even the kid who got eaten by a gator was rich.

I believe you get a fourth once you've used the first 3.

My 8 yr old nephew who has Autism has a disabled pass that he is able to use at parks. We were with them at Busch Gardens a couple weeks back. His setup was more like a fast pass for rides with long lines. So if a ride had a 60 min wait the guy at the entrance would sign his pass and give them a time to come back. Sometimes it would be 30 mins later, sometimes it would be an hour. If the ride lines were short then they would let him get right on.

That's a good one, Frank. Let me know if you'd like me to write a note to your aide so that she can hang it on your chalkboard.
