I have a bet with my friend that by 2024 you will be able to get from Chicago to Las Vegas by train in under 10 hours. |

In the mid-2000s, I bet my buddy that I could beat him in Madden playing as the Patriots while only throwing passes to Randy Moss. No runs, and no passes to any other receiver. I won. |

My dad had bet my uncle back in 68/69/70 timeframe that we would have a 'colored' (nomenclature of the times) president by the year 2000. He was only 9 years off. |

We had some fun bets on the trading floor Some were races around the top step of the stadium seating in the bond room Whether someone could eat 10 double cheeseburgers in 30 minutes Which eye candy clerk would dress sluttiest How long they'd accidentally leave ch 9 on the giant screen after the noon news (showing "Maury") Also Maury topics (who is the father was off the board obviously) . One guy ALWAYS bet fat babies. Never came in. He was determined though. |
