Walton and Smith both seemed like they fell off of a cliff but they both played for a decade. Walton's 2nd years wasn't that much worse than his first. But, a dropoff for sure. Smith hit pretty well for a good chunk of the 90s. |

It was probably because they didn't progress or maybe young squirrel had too much hope that the Cubs left and center field situation was set for a decade. Young Squirrel was very. very wrong. I'd have to look at Rick Wilkens too. edit: Never mind, his third year, first full year, was his monster HR year. |
