One accuser. That's how it all begins. Just one. For years, perhaps it was talked about in private circles. The pathological stubbornness. Publicly, it was joked about. But now, there isn't just one accuser, claiming stubbornness. There aren't 3. There aren't 4, even when Boilermaker Rick denied that there were 3. There are 15. That's a quinceanera. That can't be tucked under a shirt, swept under the rug, fumbled out of bounds and called a touchback. That's irrefutable. And now, the question becomes: Does Boilermaker Rick admit the stubbornness is a reality? Can he really backpedal, argue, deflect, this time? Fifteen, and counting. That's a higher number than the "Halloween" movie franchise, even when you include the illegitimate 3rd film and reboot with sequel. "Obviously, it's a concern," said an unnamed source. "When it was 4 accusers, even when he said there were only 3, it was a concern. But now, it's really a concern. It's a nightmare, really." If he comes forward and apologizes, does it make it right? It happened late one night in Jake's. It was a breakfast club the next morning so I was going to try to get home and get a few hours of sleep. That's when Rick stopped me. He wanted to debate Brees vs Orton and the better college career. I initially started to debate but I could tell he wanted more... he wanted to talk about Tiller teams that I didn't even remember. I wanted to leave so bad but I was scared that he would follow me home or worse... make me go back to his place and watch 2001 Rose Bowl highlights. So I sat there for 45mins and listened to him. I went home, showered and never spoke of it again until now. #metoo |
