I read this board all the time and I have read many horror stories about the FBI. From the malfeasance of J. Edgar Hoover to the attacks on American citizens at Waco and Ruby Ridge and on and on and on. Regular Reader loves to talk about COINTELPRO. Democrats and liberals have been suspicious of the FBI my entire life. Until now. |

He would routinely keep dirt on just about every President. He had FDR and Eleanor having affairs while in office. FDR was sleeping with a secretary and Eleanor supposedly had a former NAVY guy on the side. Of course he had dirt on the Kennedys. Can't remember what he had on Nixon but they were sort of chummy so he was a little more hands off with him. I remember reading where the Italian mob had dirt on him. They knew that he was a homosexual and liked to cross dress. Even had pictures. They also knew about him and Clyde Tolson. Frank Costello supposedly was in charge of handling Hoover. There was speculation as to this being the reason for the FBI's decades long denial of an existence of the mob. They were blackmailing him. They also allegedly used to make payoffs to Hoover. They knew he liked to bet the horses. They'd make payoffs to him by fixing horse races. He'd have FBI agents place bets on the races in which the long shot was going to win. Since the mob controlled much of the gaming industry at the time it was easy for them to fix the race. |
