so I'm sitting at McDonald's and I realize the guy there one table over from me about 45mins ago left a laptop on the table.... And holy shit I could use a laptop... I'd be able to take my music production mobile again and that's why I asked to get the cheapest one at best buy when I had ~$7000 inheritance left cuz I wanna do productive things but everyone has to be fucking pedantic and draconian with me so I was told "we'll see" and then the topic was taboo to ever bring up again. I turned the laptop into McDonalds. How fucking retarded am I? |

Guessing McD's has MANY security cameras, both inside and out. Assuming you drove there if the cops were interested following up on a laptop theft I would think they would have little trouble finding you, had you taken it. |

When you come across something like this the right thing to do is put yourself in the position of the person that left it. Consider the panic, fear, hopelessness or any other myriad of emotions that person is going through when they realize it. If after that you feel you should take the laptop go ahead. |
