Luke Appling deserves to be on the Sox list over Buehrle or Konerko. |

Even with Frank there is an argument that Buehrle is the greatest player in White Sox history. |

Croissant with the dumbest sports thought of the month award. Frank was a slam dunk 1st ballot hall of famer. 2 time MVP. Buehrle doesn't have a single CY young and he will never sniff the hall of fame. Lay off the cognac. |

Buehrle is one of the most prone-to-greatness players of the last 25 years. As great as Frank Thomas was, he has no feats that come close to anything in the top 5 Buehrle moments. |

On the field. Buehrle (no particular order) 1. set MLB record for consecutive batters retired 2. faced the minimum twice 3. greatest defensive play ever by a pitcher 4. earning a save in the WS after drinking few beers (and also earning a win in a start earlier in the same series...) 5. threw a complete game in an hour and a half in today's baseball Thomas has no individual moment that is as memorable as any one of those. Nothing even to take away from Thomas, name me a player of the last 25 years in all of baseball who can claim those of types of accomplishment together. |

The Bears. Ryne Sandberg is in the Hall of Fame. We'll see about Rizzo. Maddux would be on that list if they hadn't let him sign with the Braves. |

Winning an MVP/CY Young >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>No hitter/Perfect game. Look at the list of guys that have thrown perfect games/no hitters. It's littered with bums. Edwin Jackson threw a no-hitter once. |

If Phil Humber also had the rest of Buehrle's body of work definitely yes. |
