I like the standing chick drummer--echoes of Sheila E., who taught us that without love, it ain't much. Man, the women in the video are really hot--seriously. Sheila E. was hot, too. |

Jerk ![]() vanity kind of fizzled out after action jackson, right? now there's a movie with everything: instant ninja death, legendary intros, a hero who has the best way to catch a cab, one-liners aplenty for any/all situations, and of course: craig T nelson getting his heel on across from a doey eyed in-her-prime sharon stone. how they never made a sequel to that movie i'll never know. |

At the time I was still a little guy and Prince was my idol ![]() Hell, man, that guy could play some music. He was a little too pop for me, but even his last song (the last song I know about), "Baltimore," was pretty cool. Like his women, Prince was one of those people whose race I either didn't know or didn't think about. He was just Prince (though my dad called him a "dago" once). Prince and his harem had this syncretist, multi-racial thing going on--both musically and in terms of who they were. |

Underrated film. Pulp Fiction of the 80s. And with hotter chicks. Carl Weathers had a hell of a run back then. |
